Want a very easy and inexpensive treat to make for your companions? Well, I have one for you that the pups in your life will love! I make these weekly and they are a big hit - more than the regular food!
Let's get to it!
Ingredients
1 cup oats
1/3 cup pumpkin purée (not pie filling)
1/4 organic, no salt, creamy peanut butter
Method
Heat oven to 325*
Place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
To a food processor, add oats. Blend until a flour texture.
Add pumpkin and PB to the oats, and blend until a dough forms. (You may need to add 1/2tsp+ water if it’s not coming together to form a dough)
Flour surface with organic buckwheat flour. Turn the dough out and roll out to the thickness you want. (Note, it can be sticky so keep the flour close by)
Using a cookie cutter (like a dog bone shape) cut out treats.
Repeat until all dough is used.
Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Allow to cool, and put them in a airtight container and store in fridge for up to 10 days.
